New Enamel Work 04/06/2010
In anticipation of an upcoming Artist Trading Card event, I took some time to create a group of new pieces in copper with glass enamel. My idea was to create dimensional 2.5 x 3.5 inch "drawings" in thin copper that I would coat in enamel. I also wanted to layer smaller pieces and crystals on top of this enamel backdrop. I quite like the results of this project and believe it will lead to new collections in the future. Commentspeppysfriend 06/04/2010 12:41
I have to encourage you to keep experimenting with those fabulous enamels on copper- they are captivating. I wish I lived in your area to attend classes and soak up some of your creativity! I would love to see those enameled pieces made larger and inserted into custom cabinetry panels or inset into drawer fronts. They deserve to be larger, to be the jewelry of a furniture piece.
